What is DND?
The full form of DND is Do Not Disturb.

DND is a service provided by the telecom service providers to their customers. DND enables blocking of promotional tele-marketing calls to those customers who have activated DND service on their BSNL mobile number.
Activating DND in your BSNL Mobile Number by SMS
If you are tired of tele-marketing calls, there are many ways to activate DND in your BSNL Mobile Number. I will explain all the methods here for you to opt for this facility whenever required.
Please note that it takes around 7 days for the tele-marketing calls to stop after activation of DND.
Once you have activated DND, you can’t deactivate or de-register from DND before completion of 90 days from the date of activation.

How to deactivate or stop BSNL DND Service by SMS
There might be people who have activated the DND Service on their BSNL mobile number, but for some reason, want to deactivate or stop the DND Service. In that case, you have to send an SMS with text “STOP” to 1909 from your BSNL Mobile Number registered with DND. Your mobile number will be de-registered from the DND List.
Activating DND Service on BSNL Mobile Number by IVR
To activate DND Service on BSNL Mobile Number by IVR, you have to call on the Toll-Free Number 1909 from your BSNL Mobile Number which you want to register for DND. You will have to request the executive on call to register your mobile number on the DND List.
How to check the DND Status of any BSNL Mobile Number
To check the status of any BSNL Mobile Number, you have to visit the url – http://pcpr.bsnl.co.in/srchByPhoneNo.aspx and enter your phone number to check the DND Status of any mobile number.
