There are many BSNL customers who have been asking to explain the process of activating BSNL SIM Card. Considering these requests, I will share the process step-by-step on how to activate BSNL SIM Card.
How to activate BSNL SIM Card for Prepaid Users
If you are a BSNL Prepaid SIM user, you have to follow the below steps to activate BSNL SIM Card:
After taking delivery of SIM Card, wait for at least 30 minutes.
Switch off your mobile phone in which you want to install the SIM Card.
Find the SIM Slot in your mobile phone and insert the SIM Card properly in the SIM Slot.
Switch on your mobile phone.
After the Network Signal appears on the Mobile Phone screen, dial 1507 and complete the tele-verification process.
After tele-verification, your BSNL SIM Card will be activated shortly.
You might be required to restart your phone once after the tele-verification process to activate your BSNL SIM Card.
How to activate BSNL SIM Card for Post-paid Users
If you are a BSNL Post-paid SIM user, you have to follow the below steps to activate BSNL SIM Card:
After taking delivery of SIM Card after filling up the required application form, wait for around 72 hours.
Switch off your mobile phone in which you want to install the SIM Card.
Find the SIM Slot in your mobile phone and insert the Post-paid SIM Card properly in the SIM Slot.
Switch on your mobile phone after inserting the SIM Card.
After the Network Signal appears on the Mobile Phone screen, dial 1507 and complete the tele-verification process.
After tele-verification, your BSNL SIM Card will be activated shortly.
You might be required to restart your phone once after the tele-verification process to activate your BSNL SIM Card.
How to activate BSNL SIM Card after Porting from Jio, Airtel or Vodafone Idea
If you have used the MNP facility to port your number from Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea or other telecom provider to BSNL, you have to wait around 72 hours after successfully porting your number and receiving the SIM Card. After waiting for the required time, you have to follow the same steps mentioned earlier for Prepaid or Postpaid Users as applicable.
